FOUNDATION
ELO
OUR MOTTO
From our experiences in Brazil we have come to the name of the Foundation. 'Elo'. This Portuguese word means 'link', like a link in a chain. In this we want to express our connection with missionary work and we want to be a link in a larger whole. We are called to work together in this world, to hold each other and, based on our faith, to serve God together.

From 1990-1994 Jaap and Jennie Wierma lived with their children in Brazil, connected to the missionary work of Care for Brazil. From 2006 to 2011, they went together again to Brazil to support the missionary work there.
They are now back in the Netherlands and the municipality of Kom en Zie in Rotterdam. The have served at Kom en Zie as pastors. They return regularly to support the workers and the congregation.

As a foundation we want to work together with local mission workers, churches and organizations. Photo above pastor of the Filadélfia church and below of the Baptists from Lábrea.
The aim of the foundation is to support (financially) projects worldwide in the field of mission and evangelization. These projects can be realized in-house or through third parties, whether or not in combination with the provision of humanitarian aid. In realizing the projects, we always work together with local churches or organizations.
