Care for Brazil (NL)

Care for Brazil (formerly the Brazil Mission) is a Dutch organization that started work in Brazil in the 1960s by Dutch missionaries. Over the years, the work has grown rapidly and has now earned its spurs in many parts of Brazil. Not only because there are still projects, but also because workers who worked for the mission in the past have now started a new work in Brazil.  Between 1990 and 2011, Jaap and Jennie Wiersma were associated with this foundation.

At the moment Stephan Dekker is the chairman of the board in the Netherlands and we have regular contact with each other on a friendly basis. It is precisely because of our long experience that we can sometimes advise the board. The work in Brazil is organized in the OSFA (Obras Sociais Fé e Alegria). An institution with national recognition. Besides the OSFA, the social branch of the work, many churches have been founded all over Brazil.

We want to shape the collaboration with Care for Brazil by setting up joint projects or by financially supporting ELO projects with which we have a personal relationship via CFB. We will transfer donations that come to us for specific Care for Brazil projects. In addition, it remains possible for ELO to independently help certain projects financially and send money directly to these projects in Brazil.
