Just a little bit more of Christmas...

We are almost at the end of the year, but want to stay a little longer in Christmas... The church of Luis and Cristina in Santa Cruz had organized a children's Christmas party with lots of presents and goodies, but very few children came from the neighborhood. Upstairs in the village of Santa Cruz de Minas is a poor neighborhood, where many families live who desperately need the help of the mission and the Church. Luis and Cristina regularly go to bring food with a group of young people in the van from the church. If the ward doesn't come to church, the church goes to the ward.... And that's how we ended up in this ward. We hadn't been here before either. Children ran everywhere today, because they knew this van. It was so beautiful to see those radiant faces and how happy everyone was with a car, ball or a doll and some goodies.... We would like to share that with you. Christmas is all about the celebration of the birth of Jesus our Savior and then you can make children happy with a present! Everyone in this neighborhood knows where the church is and if you need help, you can go there, even for prayer!

For the children who did come to church, a sister from the congregation told the Christmas story with a beautiful hand puppet. This was the last blog of this year! With New Year's Eve we are at the blessing of Gustavo and Aline as pastors, so then we continue with the report of the trip!
