Labrea, a village on the River Purus in the Amazon, has a special place in us and in your hearts. For many years, many children have been taken care of here in the semi-boarding school. A second home where people surround the children with a lot of love. And that has an effect.
Yesterday I heard that Melissa's mother gave her life to Jesus. Next Saturday I will travel to Manaus where I will meet Gabriel. Now a grown man, who is full of the love of Jesus for people who live on the street. His testimony is that he himself came to know this Jesus as a child in the semi-boarding school in Labrea, where he grew up for nine years.
At the moment, about a hundred children are being taken care of. This work, maintained by Care for Brasil, also deserves our prayer and support.
