To Brazil (2)

Preaching in the Filadélfia church.

A warm welcome that was it. Not only some temperature, but also a feast. That meant that a big meal was prepared with well.... sometimes it goes wrong. Or do you think 'What's on my plate now?' But no point... a Dutchman eats what the pot buys. Only stomach and intestines thought differently and ran amok. So Sunday like a dishcloth from bed to toilet and back. In the evening was the church service. Let's go anyway, see if it works out. In the run-up to the trip I had prepared a sermon for this church, but (fortunately) I was not asked... in the service, the pastor came to ask if I wanted to speak. In a shooting prayer I asked God if He wanted to take over my body. And praise God, it went. I was allowed to convey the message and came home on time after the service, if you know what I mean...

After a good night's sleep, a pill from the neighbor and bananas, I recovered. Still a bit quiet... although today we are working in construction. The manager's house is being scaffolded and Luis is bricklaying. I am the chief. Of course Antonio and Albelicio are also there, but it would have been cool if we were building here with a Dutch group... maybe next year? Then the upper floor is built.

Next time a little more about the special work here in the semi-boarding school and how whole families are helped and reached with the Gospel.

Thank you for your prayer. Many blessings wished, on holiday, at work and in the Call back action in Rotterdam.
