To Brazil (1)

By train early to Schiphol, but the crowds were not too bad and just after 8 o'clock I was through customs. A bit crazy to write in the singular, but Jennie and Jamie are leaving in two weeks. Left at 14:00 and arrived in Rio at 01:00 the next morning. Stamps and suitcase all went well.

How do you learn patience? By sitting on a chair at the airport for eight hours... about waking up with my arms around my backpack, I succeeded. Then a flight to Campinas in the south of Brazil, followed by a flight to Cuiabá and finally a plane to Porto Velho. You don't have to guess what I looked like (and smelled) when I met Luis, Lucas and Pedro there.

We're almost there! Another eight hours through the jungle with the Volkswagen van... Beautiful pictures richer, completely rattled and walking on my eyebrows we were wonderfully welcomed by Albelicio and Socorro and a bed!
